St. Margaret's Girls Volleyball Clips Eagles' Wings 3-0

The Tartans defeated cross-town rivals CVCS Thursday.
The Tartan girls volleyball program traveled across the 5 freeway to take on Capistrano Valley Christian School and came away with a 3-0 (25-10-25-11,25-19) win Thursday afternoon.
 
St. Margaret's controlled the match from the start, turning in a strong serving and hitting performance. Ella Massoudi led the attack with 13 kills on 25 attempts (hitting .440) while the Tartans had great production out of the middle, combining for 11 kills (Arianne Bruckner, 7 kills on 9 attempts for .556; Serena Torrance added 4 kills).
 
The Tartans continued the pressure serving with 9 aces against only 4 errors with an efficiency of just under 95%. Elena Wang recorded 4 aces followed by Sarah MacDonald with 3 aces on a team leading 16 attempts with no errors.
 
The 2-1 Tartans will next face El Dorado on the road on Thursday, August 28.
