Girls Volleyball Dunks Diablos 3-0 at Home

The Tartans relied on strong serving to dispatch Mission Viejo.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball program picked up an early-season home win, downing Mission Viejo High School 3-0 (21-17, 25-12, 25-8) in Pasternack Field House on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Superb serving by the Tartans made the difference in the match, with St. Margaret's notching 10 aces and only 4 errors on 75 attempts (95% efficiency). Sarah MacDonald and Ella Massoudi led with 3 aces each.
 
St. Margaret's hit at a very respectable .330 with Massoudi tallying 17 kills on 30 attempts and 2 errors. Arianne Bruckner added 6 kills on 13 attempts to pace the Tartans.
 
MacDonald also contributed to the defensive effort with 10 digs and 3 kills, while Tessa Kim had 29 assists in the win.
 
The Tartans will next face Cypress High School at home on Tuesday, August 19 at 5:30 p.m.
