Upper School Student Andrew Rusli Recognized for Achievements in Chemistry and Physics

The junior was recognized in both the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad and the U.S. Physics Olympiad.
St. Margaret’s Upper School student Andrew Rusli recently made High Honors in the United States National Chemistry Olympiad, a remarkable achievement that places him in the top 50 out of all qualified participants in the second round of USNCO nationwide.
 
It’s the second consecutive year Andrew advanced to the national round. He was celebrated at a banquet which took place at Concordia University earlier this week, along with several of his classmates who placed in the First Year Chemistry Competition hosted by the Orange County American Chemical Society.
 
In addition, Andrew recently received a silver medal in the 2024 U.S. Physics Olympiad, an honor designated for the top 16% of participants nationwide. The U.S. Physics Olympiad is run by the American Association of Physics Teachers and the American Institute of Physics.
