Forever Plaid Brings Tartan Community Together for Fun, Fellowship and Support of St. Margaret’s

More than 400 members of the community attended the event, enjoying a night of friendship, dinner, dancing and support of St. Margaret’s and its students.
The St. Margaret’s community came together to celebrate and support the school last week, as the 2023 Forever Plaid All-School Fundraiser welcomed parents, professional community, Trustees and alumni to VEA Newport Beach.

More than 400 members of the community attended the event, enjoying a night of friendship, dinner, dancing and support of St. Margaret’s and its students.

One of the highlights of the night was this year’s Fund A Need in support of Tartans Thrive and its centerpiece St. Margaret’s Commons project. Hundreds of community members pledged their support for the campaign at the event.

“What an amazing night for St. Margaret’s,” Head of School Jeneen Graham said. “We are so grateful to the Parent Teacher Fellowship, including president Crista Martin, chair Kai Kanatsiz and the Forever Plaid committee, for seeing through their vision and making the night so spectacular. Thank you to all who attended and generously supported St. Margarets and the future this community will build together.”

The recently renovated VEA Newport Beach was festively decorated for the evening. Attendees could bid on live auction items, socialize with fellow parents and community members, enjoy a delicious dinner and listen to music from a live band.

“This is a special community, and it was such a great opportunity for us to come together to support St. Margaret’s,” Mrs. Martin said. “Event chair Kai Kanatsiz and the Forever Plaid committee did an extraordinary job, working tirelessly to put together an evening of fun and fellowship. It was an unforgettable night, and we are thankful to everyone who generously gave their time and talent to make it a reality.”

Added Mrs. Kanatsiz: “I want to express my deepest appreciation to the amazing Forever Plaid Committee along with the volunteers, sponsors, and attendees. Everyone came together to make this night a big success. Thank you!”
