St. Margaret's Boys Tennis Advances Five to CIF Postseason
The Tartans closed out their league season Thursday.
St. Margaret's boys tennis program qualified five athletes for the CIF Individual playoffs Thursday, competing at the South Coast League finals.
On the singles side, Daniel Cai finished second, while Matthew Welling turned in a third-place finish at Thursday's event. In doubles play, it was all St. Margaret's as Davin and Dillan Grover (1st), Dawson Mai and Cole Roberts (2nd) and Braeden Nock and Daniel Chen (3rd) finished at the top of the results. First and second place in both events qualifies for CIF Individual play beginning in May.
"It's great to see St. Margaret's qualify five boys for the CIF individual tournament," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "They have worked hard all year to get to this point. The next few weeks should be exciting."
