Tartan Equestrian Team Excels Despite Weather-Shortened Season
The recent rainy season canceled many IEL events, but St. Margaret's riders were undeterred.
Mother Nature had an unexpectedly wet opening to the 2023 Interscholastic Equestrian League campaign, canceling many sanctioned events. However, despite the disappointing rainouts, St. Margaret's equestrian program had an opportunity to compete this past weekend at a non-sanctioned event, with the possibility of some events counting towards a year-end point total.
Relishing the potential, the Tartans showed well at the event. Bella Coveyou captured the Reserve Novice Champion award, placing St. Margaret's as the Reserve Champion of the Novice division. Camyrn Fisher had a great result, finishing as first and second place in junior varsity jumpers.
The Tartans will await the end-of-year result tabulations and look forward to a dry 2024 season!
