Tartan Boys Tennis Sweeps Doubles to Bring Down Costa Mesa
St. Margaret's notched an important league win Wednesday.
St. Margaret's boys tennis team swept all nine doubles matches to defeat Costa Mesa 15-3 in South Coast League action Wednesday afternoon.
The Tartan singles players Davin Grover, Dillan Grover, and Matthew Welling each improved their scores from the first meeting against the Mustangs, with Davin Grover avenging an earlier loss to Costa Mesa's No. 1 player.
"I was impressed with the team's level yesterday. It was our third match in three days so the boys could have been tired, but I saw some good tennis," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "It ended a good week, going 3-0 and heading into Spring Break with some momentum. It should be an exciting last week of the regular season as we prepare for playoffs."
The Tartans return to the court to face Santa Ana on Monday, April 17.
