Technical Arts Students Create Magical ‘Hundred Acre Wood’ for Upcoming Lower School Musical

As Lower School students in grades 2 and 3 work hard to prepare for the upcoming musical Winnie the Pooh Kids, theater technical arts students in Upper School and Middle School were busy turning McGregor Family Theater into a magical “Hundred Acre Wood.”

The class, taught by Resident Designer and Technical Director Gordon Richins, had eight Middle School students and two Upper School students constructing, painting and installing a set for the Lower School students ahead of the performances.

Once it was ready, the grade 2 and grade 3 students were brought in to see the set for the first time—and the video of their reaction is priceless.

Winnie the Pooh Kids features three casts of Lower School students, and will run from March 8-11. For tickets, visit www.smes.org/boxoffice.
