Tartan Surf Program Eyes Continued Success in 2022-2023 Campaign
St. Margaret's athletes are preparing for a great season.
St. Margaret's surf team opened competition in the Scholastic Surf Series on Nov. 20, defeating a talented Crean Lutheran squad 50-39. The win sets the Tartans up on the right foot for a challenging 2022-2023 season.
Michael Cuda placed third, while Braeden Nock finished sixth in the mens longboard. Charlie Denham surfed to a second-place finish in the mens shortboard. On the women's side, Heidi Tufo captured fourth in the longboard, with newcomers Brady Moseley and Laila Rooney competing well for the Tartans. Tyler Mears notched a third-place finish for the Tartans in the co-ed bodyboard division.
St. Margaret's returns to the water on Sunday, Dec. 18, at the San Clemente Pier.
