Tartan Golf and Volleyball Eye Postseason After Going Unbeaten in League Play

St. Margaret's gears up for a deep run in the playoffs starting next week.
St. Margaret's girls golf and volleyball programs swept through their regular season league opponents and look towards success in the CIF-SS postseason.
 
Girls Golf
 
The Tartans took a 12-1 (8-0 in league) record to face Orange Coast League opponent Ocean View High School and came away with a 210-306 win on Oct. 12. The victory kept St. Margaret's at the top of the league table and preserved their undefeated league season.
 
Gabby Eifrig shot a 39 (+3) while Jessica Liu and Kate Lee kept the Tartans on top, each scoring a 41 (+5). Amber Lin (43, +7) and Madison Lewis (46 +10) supported the win.
 
St. Margaret's will embark upon league tournament play, with prelims beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
 
Girls Volleyball
 
St. Margaret's capped off an impressive 11-0 league run, defeating Calvary Chapel 3-0 on the road Wednesday evening. Caroline Otterbein led the way with five kills with Luci Hill and Maya Reddy notching four and two kills, respectively. Carly Herman had a string of 24 straight points, including five aces in the second game.
 
Most notably, the Tartans cut through the Orange Coast League without dropping a set.
 
St. Margaret's will enter the CIF-SS playoffs as a high seed, with pairings and dates set to be announced on Oct. 15 at 11 a.m.
