St. Margaret's Girls Tennis Gets Back Into the Swing of Things

The Tartans defeated Crean Lutheran 13-5 on Tuesday.
St. Margaret's girls tennis program was elated to get back to normalcy on to the courts after weather-related postponements disrupted the start of the season. The Tartans persevered through non-standard practice sessions and returned with a dominating 13-5 performance on the road against Crean Lutheran on Tuesday.

Rylee Carlson, Annabel Thiel, Sophia Karahalios, and Emily Guerinot all won three doubles sets for the Tartans, while Angela Liu won all three singles sets she played.

"I was pleased with the team's performance yesterday. After being unable to practice for two weeks due to the heat, everyone came out and executed the game plan," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "We are excited for Thursday's match against Newport Harbor and to get back into a normal rhythm on the courts."

The Tartans face Newport Harbor at Saddleback College on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m.
