Class of 2029 Tosses Red Sweaters in Ceremonial Farewell to the Lower School

The red sweater toss was part of a day full of activities, which included a grade 5 picnic and community time with families on Chalmers Field.
St. Margaret’s grade 5 students gave a ceremonial farewell to the Lower School this week, as the Tartans celebrated their final Chapel, proceeded to Chalmers Field as younger students cheered them on, then tossed their traditional red sweaters in the air after wearing them for the final time.

One of the Lower School’s favorite year-end traditions, the clap-out and red sweater toss is a fun way for younger students to say goodbye after the final Chapel of the school year, and for the grade 5 students to celebrate their final days in the Lower School together.
