Tartan Boys Volleyball is Finals Bound After Five-Set Thriller Over Millikan

St. Margaret's battled the Rams in the Div. IV Semifinal.
St. Margaret's boys volleyball team punched its ticket to the CIF-SS Div. IV Final, outlasting Long Beach Millikan over five sets (23-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, 15-13) this past Saturday.
 
The Tartans traded sets with the Rams before winning the fourth and extending to a final fifth set which St. Margaret's won 15-13.
 
Reed Wainwright again led the Tartans with 22 kills and 19 digs, pulling St. Margaret's to its first CIF-SS Final appearance since a runner-up result in 2015. Russel Frye notched 13 kills and 16 digs, with Shane Aitken providing 41 assists, 3 kills and 16 digs.
 
The Tartans have a tall order in front of them, drawing cross-town rival CVCS as a final opponent, a team St. Margaret's just couldn't solve in the regular season. The CIF-SS Div. IV Final is slated for Saturday, May 14 at 6 p.m. in Pasternack Field House.
