PHOTOS: PTF Library Luncheon Celebrates 40th Year

This year’s event, the 40th in its long history, was themed “HERstory” and celebrated the contributions of women in literature.
The St. Margaret’s community welcomed back one of the school’s most cherished events, as more than 450 attendees gathered to support the school and its students during the 2022 PTF Library Luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.
This year’s event, the 40th in its long history, was themed “HERstory” and celebrated the contributions of women in literature. Beautiful themed tables celebrated classic and modern literary works written by women—including several published authors in the St. Margaret’s community.
The event was organized by event chair Kai Kanatsiz and the Library Luncheon committee, which included Lisa Haskins, Zeina Collins, Jade Cao, Jennifer Yalamanchi and Jessica Springer.
Last week’s event was the first in-person Library Luncheon since 2019, and the excitement around the day was clear.
"After a two-year hiatus, the PTF Library Luncheon was back and better than ever thanks to all of the hard work of our Chair, Kai Kanatsiz and her fabulous team,” PTF President Amy Ainsworth said. “It was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces supporting our beloved school at one of its most treasured traditions."
“The Library Luncheon is such a wonderful sharing of love and support for St. Margaret’s and its students,” Head of School Will Moseley said. “We are so grateful to the PTF, including Amy, Kat and their entire team, for their tireless work and dedication. The creativity and vision of the committee and the table captains makes the Library Luncheon such a beautiful event, and the support and fellowship from the attendees will make an impact for years to come. Thank you to everyone who took part.”
The event supported the PTF Grant program and St. Margaret’s Library. Attendees could browse the Library Luncheon boutique for a chance to win generously donated raffle items, as well as purchase special opportunity tickets for Lugano Diamonds jewelry, or for a tuition opportunity drawing. There was also a silent auction preceding the event with numerous items for supporters to bid on.
The traditional “Giving Garden” also returned, where attendees could purchase a personalized multi-functional navy bag, with proceeds benefiting the St. Margaret’s Library.
The PTF would like to thank all of those who supported this beloved event, including donors and underwriters, parent volunteers, the St. Margaret’s professional community and more.
