Tartan Boys Volleyball Sweep Hemet in CIF-SS First Round

St. Margaret's made short work of the Bulldogs Thursday evening.
St. Margaret's boys volleyball program swept the Hemet High School Bulldogs 3-0 (25 - 14, 25 - 15, 25 - 8) Thursday evening to advance to the CIF-SS Div. IV Playoffs Second Round.
 
The Tartans were led by Reed Wainwright's 16 kills, 2 aces and 7 digs to capture the first-round victory. Russel Frye (11 kills, 9 digs), Shane Aitken (8 digs, 1 ace) and Luke Balint (3 aces, 3 blocks) kept the Tartans in control all match.
 
"I was pleased that the team increased their intensity and effectiveness throughout the match," said St. Margaret's head coach Bob Yoder. "We are very much looking forward to the next round."
 
The Tartans will hit the road to take on University High School in the second round on Saturday, April 30.
