Tartans Defeat Mater Dei, Remain Unbeaten

St. Margaret's girls lacrosse dug deep to pull out the win against the Monarchs.
On Wednesday afternoon, St. Margaret's girls lacrosse program pulled through against a relentless Mater Dei squad in a 16-13 victory on Tartan Field. The Tartans opened the second half with three unanswered goals and never looked back as Mater Dei unsuccessfully attempted to close the gap.

St. Margaret's scoring was led by Grace Karstetter (5g), Minka Martinez (5g), Lauren Lam (4g), Tessa Grosshans (1g) and Thalia Pollard (1g). Netminder Kaitlin McRae had nine saves in the win.

"It was a close game with the score rallying back and forth, but the team maintained possession during crucial moments and fought hard for the W," said head coach Megan Armes. "A huge thanks to our energetic friends and family in the stands who cheered us on till the last whistle."

The Tartans will put their 9-0 unbeaten record on the line on Saturday, March 26 at 4 p.m., facing Bishop Gorman of Nevada at home.
