Tartan Boys Golf Bests JSerra

St. Margaret's took on the Lions at San Juan Hills Thursday afternoon.
St. Margaret's boys golf program took on cross-town opponent JSerra Catholic High School and came away with a 197-206 victory Thursday afternoon despite cool and windy conditions in San Juan Capistrano. Tartan leader Keegan Carnell had an excellent day on the links, nearly holing his second shot on a challenging uphill par four. However, Carnell settled for a birdie on that hole as well as on the ninth in near-total darkness, finishing the round with an even-par 36.

Quinn Kyle and Mike He played well together in the third grouping, shooting 39 and 40, respectively. Roy Cheng and Cameron Danz contributed to the winning effort with five-over-par rounds of 41.

The 2-1 Tartans will return to play on Monday, March 14, taking on Edison High School at San Juan Hills.
