STM JV Golf Drops Another to JSerra despite a better showing
STM JV Golf played well but came up short in their home match against JSerra on Wednesday, March 9th at Ben Brown. Despite the loss there were some highlights. Dylan Shaw, playing competitive golf for the first time, sank several long putts, kept the ball in play, and gained valuable experience. St. Margaret's also had the two lowest of scores of the day, with senior Josh Buckanavage shooting a 34 (+2) and freshman Jack McGrory turning in a 38 (+6). The highlight of the day was Josh's smash of a drive on the par 4 9th hole, where he drove the green and gave himself a putt for eagle. It was a longer putt though, and ultimately Buckanavage finished the hole with a birdie. Jonathan Lee shot a strong 41, finishing with the 3rd lowest score for St. Margaret's.
