St. Margaret's Surf Team Notches Win Against Santa Margarita

The Tartans prevailed 59-27 over the weekend
The Tartan Surf team defeated Santa Margarita 59-27 in action at the San Clemente Pier on Sunday, Feb. 13.
 
Jack Tomlinson caught some great waves in the boys' shortboard competition and earned essential points for the Tartans, while Charlie Denham and Benton Barlow advanced with high-scoring waves. Michael Cuda and Braeden Nock took the top two spots in the second heat and advanced. Denham won both of the resulting heats and finished fifth overall.
 
Heidi Tufo had a big day for the Tartans, competing in both girls longboard and shortboard, advancing to the finals, and surfing to fourth (shortboard) and fifth (longboard) place finishes.
 
Nock and Cuda made their way through tough competition straight into the finals in boys longboard finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.
 
The Tartans will return to competition on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 9th Street in Huntington Beach.
