A high-energy and festive Spirit Week wrapped up today with an all-school Homecoming Pep Rally worthy of a gold medal.

Tartan Field was transformed into Olympic Stadium as the school community celebrated St. Margaret’s and the Tartan spirit with a “Tartans Go For Gold” Olympic-themed pep rally. The entire student body gathered together for the first time since the 2019-2020 school year, bringing an energy and excitement to the day that was a long time coming.

“The excitement, fun and Tartan spirit were Olympic-sized, as we were able to bring our entire student body together today for the first time since March 2020,” said Head of School Will Moseley. “The performances were great, the student leaders were outstanding and the entire energy of our school was amplified! You could see and feel how much it meant to our students. And, for the professional community, our hearts were overflowing at the sight of our students of all ages, smiling and cheering together in such an important school tradition and rally point in their year.”

Organized and run by the Upper School ASB, the pep rally including performances by the Upper School cheer squad and the Tartan Dance Company, skits, fun Olympic-themed activities including a 50-yard dash with Early Childhood School students and a water balloon launch with willing faculty, the introduction of the homecoming court and crowning of the homecoming king, senior Trey Kingsley. Football coach Kory Minor pumped up the crowd with a rousing speech and thanked the students for their support ahead of the big homecoming game tonight against Capistrano Valley Christian.
