St. Margaret's Volleyball Program Successful at Dave Mohs Memorial Tournament
St. Margaret's girls volleyball team placed second in Div. The Tartans battled a wide array of opponents, besting La Habra High School 2-0, Ocean View High School 2-0, Brea Olinda High School 2-0, Yucaipa High School 2-0 and Murrieta Valley High School 2-0 before the loss to Upland in the Div. II final.
Over the course of play, the Tartans were led by Caroline Sele, who hit .364 on 66 attempts, Brady Moseley, who hit .270 and Makena Lim, who passed a solid 2.2. Sele was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
"Overall, the tournament was very competitive and productive for the team," said head coach Bob Yoder. "Saturday was especially competitive with strong opponents for all matches. We were disappointed with the result in the finals but continue to make good progress towards becoming the team we can be."
Tartans will enter league play on Thursday, Sept. 16, facing Sage Hill on the road at 5:15 p.m.
