Tartans Battle Scots for First Win of Season

St. Margaret's traveled to Rim of the World and picked up a 37-0 win.
St. Margaret's football program produced its first win of the 2021 campaign, defeating the Fighting Scots of Rim of the World High School 37-0. The road win brings the Tartans to 1-2 on the season.

St. Margaret's was led by quarterback Jack Ruff's 267 yards passing with 17 completions on 28 attempts and four touchdowns. Ruff also rushed for 49 yards on five attempts.  Will Stahl led receivers with 28 yards on seven catches with two touchdowns. Makai Todd (57 yards/ 4 catches / 1 TD), Sam Dunnell (56 yards/ 1 catch/ 1 TD) and Derek Smith (52 yards/ 1 catch) rounded out the Tartan aerial attack.  Benton Barlow rushed for 60 yards on ten attempts and one touchdown, while Sean Olvera-Harle gained 23 yards on a fake punt play.

Defensively, the Tartans blanked the Scots behind the efforts of Trey Kingsley (6 tackles, 4 assists, 1 sack), Will Stahl ( 4 tackles, 4 assists) and Battle Gideons, (1 tackle, 2 assists, 1 sack).

St. Margaret's will return to the gridiron against Riverside Prep at home on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
