St. Margaret's girls golf and girls tennis teams continued their winning ways Thursday, defeating JSerra and Tarbut V' Torah, respectively, on Thursday afternoon.
The Tartan golfers pulled out a 210-218 win over JSerra at San Juan Hills Golf Course to improve to 2-1 on the season. St. Margaret's was led by Maddie Lewis's three-over-par round of 39 and Gabby Eifrig and Kate Lee's 42 scores. Rianne Ke supported the Tartan effort with a 46.
St. Margaret's will enter league play on Thursday, Sept. 16, facing Samueli Academy at River View Golf Course.
In girls tennis, The Tartans relied on the stellar play of doubles team Rori Ghahreman and Annabel Thiel, who won all three of their sets. With the win, the Tartans improve to 2-1 and 2-0 in league play.
"It was a good team win yesterday. I like how the team is coming together and competing hard in each match," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "We have a long way to go this season, but we are progressing nicely. It should be a fun next few weeks as we get into the heart of our schedule."
The Tartans return to play Fairmont Prep on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at La Habra Tennis Center.
