Upper School sophomore Charlotte Quintanar recently was selected as Pritzker Engineering Early Distinction Award winner by The University of Chicago.

Charlotte was nominated by St. Margaret’s science teachers as a student with “exceptional intellectual promise in the sciences and a passion for innovation.”

As a recipient of the award, Charlotte is eligible for a merit scholarship if she chooses to attend The University of Chicago. In addition, she is eligible for a scholarship to the school’s “pathways in molecular engineering” summer course for high school students, where she has the opportunity to spend three weeks with other high school students learning how nanotechnology and supercomputers can work together to solve problems.

Congratulations Charlotte!
