Tartan Golf Programs Sweep Pacifica Christian OC

Both St. Margaret's golf teams notched wins, with many golfers shooting their best rounds of the year.
St. Margaret's golf programs picked up crucial league wins Wednesday evening.
 
The girls team traveled to Newport Beach Golf Course to face off against Pacifica Christian OC, coming away with a 187-223 victory.  The Tartans improved to 2-0 in league play behind the efforts of Gabby Eifrig (scored 30 with two birdies) and Katie Lee (33 with five pars and four bogeys). Rianne Ke (38), Joy Mao (42) and Kate Haranta (44) kept St. Margaret's ahead most of the match.
 
The Tartans next face Samueli Academy at San Juan Hills Golf Course on May 10 at 3:00 p.m.
 
The boys squad downed Pacifica Christian OC 202-223 at Costa Mesa Country Club, improving to 5-0 in league matches. The Tartans were led by Roy Cheng (38 with three birdies), David Jiang (40 with one birdie), Keegan Carnell (40), Cameron Danz (41 with five pars) and Graden Huang (43 with one birdie).
 
St. Margaret's will return to the links to take on CVCS at San Juan Hills Golf Course on May 6. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
