St. Margaret’s personal fitness and wellness department organized a fun and competitive Middle School kickball tournament during Spirit Week this week, with unique rules in place this year to make the games both safe and exciting.
The ‘No Hands” kickball tournament on Chalmers Field had several adjustments in place. Students were distanced as they waited for their turn to kick, and were allowed to play defense only with their feet.
“A buzz was felt on campus throughout the week as teams were strategizing, comparing records and practicing during lunch to be ready for their next game day,” said Lori Fava, Middle School athletic director. “It was obvious in every block that our students have missed team competition and the tournament was an awesome way to safely get that back.”
