Early Childhood Students Use Demonstration Lab to Make Delicious Morning Snack
Students ventured down to the school’s innovative Demonstration Lab—also known as the Atelier of Taste—to make a yummy morning snack from scratch.
Students in Tammy Pipitone’s Early Childhood School class ventured down to the school’s innovative Demonstration Lab—also known as the Atelier of Taste—to make a yummy morning snack from scratch.
The students sliced up a zucchini, then followed a recipe of eggs, breadcumbs and cheese to coat each piece before baking it in the Demonstration Lab’s oven.
The zucchini fries were a hit, and the class saved the zucchini seeds to plant in the school’s garden this week.
The Demonstration Lab is an original creation inspired by the school’s innovative curriculum, which includes a full kitchen and brings endless learning possibilities to young students centered around the food they eat. Concepts student learn through food preparation range from math to science to cultural competency and history.
