Tartans Nominated for Orange County Cappies Awards

The Cappies are making plans for a virtual gala to celebrate all the student productions and announce winners in each category.
Four St. Margaret’s Upper School students were nominated for the upcoming Orange County Cappies awards, for their work on the stage and as performing-arts critics.

Due to school closures and subsequent cancellation of many spring productions, participating Cappies schools each had only one show adjudicated. St. Margaret’s had two nominations from the fall play Radium Girls. Junior Nicholas Jacome was nominated as featured actor for his portrayal of Dr. Von Sochocky, and junior Sarah Pence was nominated as lead actress for her role as Grace Fryer.

In addition, Aili McGregor and Luciana Varkevisser were nominated as freshman Cappies critics for their work attending productions around Orange County and and writing reviews.
