Tartan Alumni Excelling in the Classroom and on the Field

Alumni Alex Smith '19 and Koa Todd '19 are thriving in their post-St. Margaret's academic and athletic careers.

Smith, a freshman member of the United States Naval Academy baseball team, became the first Midshipmen to earn Player and Rookie of the Week awards for the 2020 season. Smith also became the first individual in Patriot League history to earn both awards since the institution of Rookie of the Week honors in 2002. Smith went 6-for-10 at the plate in a three-game sweep of the University of Massachusetts this past weekend, driving in six runs and scoring four. Smith has hit at least once in the six games he recorded a plate appearance in, maintaining .500 batting average on the season so far.

Todd, a freshman lacrosse player at the University of Utah, has been named Student-Athlete of the Week for his excellent academic performance in the spring semester. Todd has seen significant playing minutes for the Utes this spring, including wins against Jacksonville and Furman.
