St. Margaret's Girls Volleyball Sweeps Laguna Beach in Three
The Tartans improve to 2-1 in league play.
The Tartan girls volleyball team notched another league win Tuesday, downing Laguna Beach 3-0 (29-27, 25-14, 25-17) on the road.
St. Margaret's had a slow start, but overcame the Breakers' assault and dug in for a 28-26 first-set win. Sami Duran turned in another strong performance, combining solid passing and timely digs while tallying 14 kills on 35 attempts.
Chloe Wainwright contributed 6 kills and hit a high efficiency of .357. Sarah MacDonald anchored the libero spot and serve defense, totaling a team-leading 16 digs. Elena Wang supported the defensive effort with 14 digs.
The Tartans will next take on Rosary Academy on Thursday, Sept. 25.
