MS and US Christmas Instrumental and Choir Concert

The Arts at St. Margaret’s Presents the 2022 MS and US Christmas Instrumental and Choral Concert
The 2022 MS and US Christmas Instrumental and Choral Concert will be on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Hurlbut Theater. This concert features Middle and Upper School students performing in Band, Orchestra and Choir. Ensembles include: Grade 6 Choir, Grade 6 Band, Grade 6 Orchestra, Grade 7 Choir, Grade 7 Band, Highlander Chorale, Concert Band, AP Music Theory, Jazz Ensemble, Grades 8-12 Orchestra, and Orchestra Honors. No tickets are needed for this music concert.

Rehearsals
All students performing in the Concert will have required rehearsals in the Hurlbut Theater that week on the following days and times:
Monday, Dec. 5 from 1:10-2:10 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 8 from 1:10-3:15 p.m.
The faculty in MS and US have been notified of these rehearsals and provided the names of students participating.
 
Call Time
On Thursday, Dec. 8, the call time for performers is 6 p.m.
Performance Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Concert Attendance Requirement:
In arts classes, Concerts often serve as an important summative assessment. As such, student attendance at Concerts is required. Students are required to stay the entire time and instrumental musicians are responsible for helping to put away their instrument, chair and music stand following the event. Audience members are also encouraged to stay through the entire performance to support all of the student performers.

Concert Attire:
For Music Concerts, students in Grades 6–12 band, orchestra and choral ensembles are required to wear concert attire. Concert attire includes black dress pants, knee to floor-length dresses/skirts, black 3/4 to long-sleeve blouses, black suit jacket with white shirt and black tie, formal black shoes, and black socks or stockings.
 
 
Photography and Video are prohibited during performances. The Arts at St. Margaret’s provides professional photos at no cost to all cast, crew, and directors and their families. All who are involved in the production will be emailed a link to the photos which can be downloaded at no cost.
