Presenting the Class of 2023! Scholars, Artists, Athletes and Leaders Heading to 71 Colleges and Universities

St. Margaret's is proud to present the Class of 2023 on the eve of their official graduation date on Saturday, June 3.
St. Margaret’s Episcopal School proudly presents the Class of 2023 on the eve of their official graduation date this Saturday, June 3. The 113 graduating seniors will matriculate to 71 colleges and universities in 23 states, as well as one university in Scotland. 
 
This extraordinary class will take a vast array of talents with them. They are academic scholars, student-athletes, artists, leaders and community servants. Of the 113 seniors, 19 will compete in intercollegiate athletics, seven will study the arts, and all of them will forge their own unique path pursuing a diverse range of interests, well prepared for what awaits. 
 
“We will never forget the Class of 2023 and the lasting impact they have made on St. Margaret’s Episcopal School,” Upper School Principal Jeneen Graham said. “On behalf of the Upper School professional community, we congratulate them on their graduation, the paths they are pursuing and the bright futures that await each of them. We can’t wait to see all the great things they will accomplish going forward.”
 
Forty-two seniors will attend 20 different colleges and universities in California, while 70 will head outside of California to attend schools in states like Pennsylvania (9), Massachusetts (9), Indiana (5), New York (5) and Texas (5). 
 
College choices for the Class of 2023 include Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Michigan, the University of California, Los Angeles; Princeton University, California Institute of Technology, Rhode Island School of Design, Duke University, the University of California, Irvine; the University of Notre Dame, Carnegie Mellon University, Brown University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, Dartmouth College, Yale University, New York University and Williams College.
 
In all, 24 schools will enroll two or more Tartans, including the UCLA (5), UC-Irvine (4), the UC-Riverside (4), the University of Southern California (4), Stanford (3), the University of Utah (3), San Diego State University (3) and California State University, Fullerton (3). 
 
St. Margaret’s dedicated college counseling team helped guide each student’s decision-making process, including Director of College Counseling Elise Rodriguez, Senior Associate Director of College Counseling Amy Warren, and Associate Director of College Counseling Erica Huerta. The office arranged more than 150 visits with representatives from colleges and universities around the world, in addition to one-on-one meetings with each senior, an enhanced curriculum including workshops during the school day, and arranging writing specialists to assist students as they fine-tune their essays.
