Ever wonder how all the parts come together in the production of a play at St. Margaret’s?
From costume design to set construction to the rehearsals, go behind the scenes with the upcoming production of
BOEING BOEING in this film, produced by St. Margaret’s junior Sarah Ko and her video team, junior Ayla Fox and sophomore Danny Policicchio.
BOEING BOEING is a 1960’s farce which was reimagined in 2007 and won the 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. In this hilarious drama by French playwright Marc Camoletti, a cast of Upper School students tell the story of Bernard, who has Italian, German and American fiancees. Each of these beautiful flight attendants has frequent “layovers,” and Bernard is able to juggle their schedules for a while. His lifestyle hits turbulence, though, when all three fiancees invade his Parisian bachelor pad and comedy ensues.
This production is directed by Mr. Nathan T. Wheeler with alum Caryle Porrazzo, Class of 2011, as assistant director. There are two casts for this production, working collaboratively to bring the story to life. Each ensemble navigates the notions about female roles during the 1960s and utilizes the tools of farce to help audiences reflect on how far we’ve come and where society is in relation to gender roles today.
The ensembles include the Window Cast, featuring senior Tyler Ashman as Bernard, junior Jaden Cloobeck as his long-time friend Robert, senior Casey Healy as his maid Berthe, junior Rachel Roy as TWA flight attendant Gloria, junior Anneka Miller as Alitalia flight attendant Gabrielle, and senior Rose McCarver as Lufthansa flight attendant Gretchen.
The Aisle Cast features junior Blake Stevenson as Bernard, junior Parker Ryan as Robert, senior Hailey Hageman as Berthe, sophomore Elena Plumb as Gloria, senior Rebekah Olsen as Gabrielle, and freshman Zoe Shor as Gretchen.
Performances are on Thursday, October 13 at 7 p.m. (Window Cast); Friday, October 14 at 7 p.m. (Aisle Cast) and Saturday, October 15 at 2 p.m. (Aisle Cast) and 7 p.m. (Window Cast). Tickets are still available for all performances by purchasing online at
