Tartan Swimmers Excel at Santa Margarita Invitational
St. Margaret's kicked off the 2024 season with a bang.
St. Margaret's swim program opened the 2024 campaign with a successful showing at the Santa Margarita Invitational held March 9-10.
The girls 8x50 medley relay and 8x50 freestyle relay teams made up of Zoe Reynolds, Heidi Tufo, Eden Harrington, Natalia Garcia, Annika Tufo, Claire Martin, Stella Ye, and Anna Feng swam to first-place finishes at the event. Zoe, Heidi, Annika, and Claire also all won individual events, while Zoe broke her own meet record in the 200 Individual medley.
Team captain Daniel Lyons led the boys squads to multiple fast results, guiding the team to final event heats. Freshman Bryan Wu and Von Lundin added points to the team score in their individual events.
Sophomore Nicole Chen and seniors Tai Guo and Zach Liang rounded out the St. Margaret's competition team for the event.
The Tartans return to action against Sage Hill School on Friday, March 15.
