Tartan Girls Volleyball Battles to 3-2 Playoff Win

St. Margaret's defeated Norco in the first round of the CIF-SS Championships Thursday.
St. Margaret's girls volleyball team opened the CIF-SS DIV. III postseason with a gutsy 3-2 win over visiting Norco High School Thursday.

The Tartans received big games from Carly Grumet (19 K), Ella Massoudi (13 K) and Emerson Tingler (11 K) to put away the Cougars.

"We've been a good serving team all year and had an outstanding team performance with 22 aces out of 103 serves and an overall efficiency of just over 90%," said head coach Bob Yoder. "Most importantly, the team kept competing and working, added in a few adjustments, which allowed them to prevail against a very good Norco team."

The Tartans will face Hart High School in the second round on Saturday, Oct. 21. Please consult the athletics website for updated time and location of the match.
