Tartans Defeat Burroughs 3-0 in CIF Div. III 2nd Round

St. Margaret's boys volleyball keeps rolling through the postseason.
St. Margaret's boys volleyball program downed Burroughs High 3-0 Saturday in the second round of the CIF-SS Div. III playoffs.

The Tartans put together another strong showing against a perennially strong Burroughs squad. St. Margaret's offensive attack reached a season-high with a 73% side-out rate supported by a solid passing performance—2.25 on a 3-point scale. This combination has put immense pressure on the Tartans' opponents. The attack was led again by Reed Wainwright, who had 19 kills, with 8 kills added by Beckett Harvey.

Superb floor defense kept St. Margaret's on top for most of the match, with a team total of 48 digs. Wainwright logged 15 digs, while Caden Isola notched 13.

The Tartans will next face Wiseburn DaVinci, who defeated Mission Viejo 3-1, on Wednesday, May 1.
