The Lower School ICE Lab celebrated International Dot Day last week with an augmented-reality activity and showcase for students in kindergarten through grade 3.

International Dot Day, inspired by the book The Dot  by Peter H. Reynolds, is a global celebration which encourages students to embrace their creativity and use it to inspire others. For St. Margaret’s students, Dot Day was celebrated during ICE Lab time, where they explored and created using the Quiver app.

Using Quiver, students were able to manipulate 2D shapes, turning them into 3D pieces that could be used in games, new artwork and other interactive ways. Afterwards, students could explore their classmates’ creations in a “gallery walk.”
