St. Margaret’s grade 5 students bid farewell to the Lower School in style – with a pathway of Tartans cheering them on as they made a symbolic red-carpet walk to the Middle School.
The “clap out” followed a special Chapel honoring the Class of 2025. With the rest of the Lower School and grade 5 parents forming a tunnel, the grade 5 students walked to the Middle School, where they were welcomed by Middle School Principal Jeannine Clarke.
The grade 5 students then went to the steps of the Performing Arts Center, where they received words of encouragement from Lower School Principal Jennifer Blount before ceremoniously throwing their red sweaters in the air after wearing them for the final time.
The clap-out and sweater toss was followed on Friday by a special breakfast for grade 5. Next week, the class will participate in the annual Hot Foot Challenge before an end-of-year party concludes their time in the Lower School.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Best wishes on your transition into Middle School!
