Tartans Named Semifinalists for Artists of the Year by OC Varsity Arts

The semifinalists were chosen by a panel of teachers among hundreds of nominees.
Four St. Margaret’s seniors were named semifinalists for 2018 Artists of the Year by the Orange County Register’s Varsity Arts section: Jeannine Bauer in vocal music, Roger Penske in 3D visual arts, Rachel Roy in theater and Blake Stevenson in vocal music.
 
The semifinalists were chosen by a panel of teachers among hundreds of nominees. Blake and Jeannine are among 14 semifinalists out of 72 nominees in the vocal music discipline, Rachel is one of 13 semifinalists out of 106 nominees in theater, and Roger is one of seven semifinalists out of 33 nominees in 3D visual arts.
 
For the final round, the semifinalists are interviewed by a panel of distinguished artistic professionals and faculty members, which includes a live presentation and a question-and-answer session.
 
One Artist of the Year in each of the disciplines will be announced on Sunday.
