Grade 7 Student Hayden Mann Competes in California State Geography Bee

The state bee in Fresno invited the top 100 students in Caliifornia grades 4-8 to compete.
St. Margaret’s grade 7 student Hayden Mann represented St. Margaret’s at National Geographic’s California State Geographic Bee last week in Fresno.

Hayden won St. Margaret’s Geography Bee in January. That win qualified him to take a quiz for a chance to participate in the state competition. The state bee, which took place at California State University, Fresno, invited only the top 100 grades 4-8 students in California to compete.

Hayden did well on the quiz to grab one of the coveted spots in the state bee. There, Hayden answered seven of eight questions correctly in the preliminary round, narrowly missing the opportunity to advance.
