Tartan Swimming Pulls Off One-Point Win over Crean Lutheran

The boys team defeated Crean Lutheran, 74-73, to pick up an Academy League win Wednesday.
The Tartan boys swim team swam hard and snatched a one-point victory away from Academy League opponent Crean Lutheran on Wednesday night.

St. Margaret's results:

Double event winners

Owen Young 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle
Rowdie Peets 50m freestyle, 500m freestyle

200 Medley Relay

Boys: 1st- 1:59.34 (James Whiting, Parker Ryan, Owen young and Chris Mullen)

Girls: 1st- 2:14.02 (Gwen Hart, Grace Zhou, Jacqueline Leung and Ashley Jones)

Reflecting on the team's performance, coach Edmund Herlihy remarked "A one-point win showcases how vital each swimmer is to the team’s success. We had some breakthrough swims during the meet, and several guys stepped up when it counted. I was very proud of our younger athletes who were instrumental in clinching the win over Crean."

The Tartans return to the pool at Portola High School on March 29.
