Students’ Creative Talents and Skills Garner Scholastic Recognition

St. Margaret’s had Gold Key winners in every eligible grade this year, in six different writing categories and seven different art categories.
St. Margaret’s artists and writers had their many talents and skills recognized at the 2018 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, taking home 83 art awards and 64 writing awards including a combined 26 Gold Keys won by 20 different Tartans in the West Coast Regional-At Large division.

Since 1923, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards has recognized art and writing works in 29 different categories for students grades 7-12. “We are very proud of all the creative avenues students choose to pursue here at St. Margaret’s,” said visual arts chair Jesse Standlea. “They hone their skills and channel their self-expression in extraordinary ways, and it’s great to see their outstanding work be recognized with such high honors.”
