The Christmas shopping experience benefited families in the Padres Unidos program at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
St. Margaret’s grade 4 students created a Christmas shopping experience for families in the Padres Unidos program at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. During the second annual Santa’s Scottie Village, the entire Lower School community donated pajamas, clothing, books and toys, and grade 4 students set the donations up on tables to allow Padres Unidos families to choose items, and even provided gift-wrapping services to package the presents to take home.
With Christmas lights strung above and upbeat holiday music playing in the background, Sillers Hall was transformed into a festive shopping experience. The close involvement of the grade 4 students in sorting, wrapping and delivering the packages made the service project even more impactful.
