Barbara Nelson PreK-12 Exhibit Puts Student Art in the Spotlight- See the Photos!
More than 100 pieces of artwork from students ranging from preschool to Upper School is on display.
From 2D drawings to 3D sculptures to film animations and even virtual reality, student artwork from preschool through Upper School in a variety of mediums is on display this month during the Barbara Nelson PreK-12 Selected Works Exhibition.
The artwork exhibit officially opened at the Barbara Nelson PreK-12 Selected Works Reception this week in the Performing Arts Center foyer. Attendees were able to meet the artists and learn more about their work as well as immerse in the artwork created through virtual reality within the HTC Vive headsets set up for viewing. Among the attendees was Barbara Nelson, the namesake of the exhibit who retired from St. Margaret’s last year after 30 years as a visual arts teacher.
More than 100 pieces of artwork are on display in the exhibition, which were selected from art classes and clubs by the arts faculty based on quality of execution, concept, composition, decision making, experimentation and originality.
