St. Margaret's Surf Team Ends Season on High Note

The Tartans wrapped up the 2016/2017 campaign with a 3-2 record and victory over El Toro High School.
St. Margaret's capped their successful winter season with a 62-2 win against El Toro this past Sunday at the San Clemente Pier. Freshman Jake Vandenburg and sophomore Kelly Smith battled to first place in their respective shortboard finals.

Other Tartan surfers that advanced and placed in the Finals included:

Women's longboard: Chantz Norris 2nd; Ayla Fox 3rd
Men's longboard: Jake Vandenburg 4th, Andrew McAleer 5th
Bodyboard: Baxter Marcus 4th
Men's shortboard: Gunnar Gehl 6th

The Tartans finished their Scholastic Surf Series season with a 3-2 record.
