Tartans Claim First-Round Victories

St. Margaret’s girls soccer and boys basketball advance, boys soccer and basketball rescheduled.
CIF-SS playoffs are well underway with the Tartans securing early round victories in girls soccer and boys basketball.

Girls Soccer

St. Margaret's defeated Granite Hills 4-0 behind Blake Crawley's two goals Thursday afternoon on Tartan Field. Lauren McCaffrey added a goal and assist while Callin Young notched a goal for the Tartans. Indigo Agan and Juliet Ballard each had an assist in the win.

The Tartans will travel to Chaminade College Prep for a second-round match on Tuesday, February 21 at 5 p.m.

Boys Basketball

Tyler Horgan had 25 points including three three-pointers as the Tartans downed Loma Linda Academy 72-48 on Wednesday evening. Brennan Campbell had 13 points and five assists and Ryan Cragun contributed 12 points and seven rebounds.

The second-round matchup at Santa Ynez originally scheduled for Friday evening has been moved to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 18 due to inclement weather.

Boys Soccer

Also affected by this week's winter storm, the boys soccer team's first-round contest originally scheduled for Friday evening has been moved to Saturday, February 18 at 2:30 p.m. on Tartan Field.

The Tartans will look to advance against Lennox Academy in CIF-SS Division VI action.
