SMES Student Athlete Jeremy Davis Commits to University of Richmond During National Signing Day

Davis will compete in men’s lacrosse for the NCAA Div. 1 University of Richmond Spiders.
St. Margaret's Episcopal School is pleased to announce that senior Jeremy Davis has committed to play intercollegiate athletics next year. Davis will attend the University of Richmond where he will continue his academic pursuits, as well as compete in men's lacrosse at the NCAA Division I level.

Davis, who is a midfielder for the Tartans, is a member of St. Margaret's 2015 U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section Championship squad. Davis also participated in football at St. Margaret's and is a member of the CIF-SS Championship team of 2015.

Davis has also been involved with the community, volunteering his time at Emeritus Senior Living Home and lending his talents to the Students for Safe Water organization.

At the University of Richmond, Davis intends to major in Business.

St. Margaret's Head Lacrosse Coach Glen Miles said, "I’m so excited for Jeremy. Richmond is a great school with a terrific lacrosse program. Coach Chemotti is a great young coach, and I think this is a perfect fit for Jeremy."

“It takes a great deal of effort to become a collegiate athlete and nobody has been more dedicated to the process than Jeremy,” said St. Margaret’s athletic director Patrick Bendzick. “We admire his constant pursuit of this dream and his positive influence has made a lasting impression on our lacrosse program.”
