College Fair Brings Schools From Across the Country to St. Margaret’s
About 20 schools attended and shared details of their campus and the admission process.
Tartan Center was a flurry of activity on Monday as college and universities from across the country came to St. Margaret’s to meet with Upper School students.
The college fair gave Tartans a chance to interact with college representatives and learn about the admissions process. About 20 schools attended, including Ohio State, Colorado, Southern Methodist, Arizona, Delaware, DePauw, Richmond and South Carolina.
“Our students are able to learn about what individual colleges value in the application, and they can ask specific questions about the college, its majors and programs,” said Roland Allen, St. Margaret’s director of college counseling. “Admissions officers get to see St. Margaret’s firsthand by meeting our students, interacting with the college counselors, and seeing our facilities.
While Monday’s college fair brought a number of schools to campus in one gathering, Colleges and universities will be making visits to St. Margaret’s throughout the fall to answer questions and provide insight into the application process. In total, more than 150 colleges and universities will be on campus.
