Class of 2030 Bids Farewell to Lower School With Traditional Red Sweater Toss

The ceremonial tossing of the red sweaters is one of the Lower School’s favorite traditions.
St. Margaret’s grade 5 students bid farewell to the Lower School this week, as they took off their traditional red sweaters for the final time and tossed them into the air.

The ceremonial tossing of the red sweaters is one of the Lower School’s favorite traditions, taking place after the final Chapel of the school year. The grade 5 students were honored during the Chapel, before the rest of the Lower School cheered them on as they walked over to the steps of the Darcy Rice Center for the Arts. There, they took one last class photo with the sweaters on, then tossed them into the air as parents and younger Lower School students cheered them on.

Congratulations to the Class of 2030 for this wonderful milestone! Best of luck as you move on to Middle School!
