Tartan Boys Basketball and Soccer Pick Up League Wins

St. Margaret's faced Orange Coast League opponents Estancia High School on Wednesday evening.
St. Margaret's boys basketball and soccer programs faced off against Orange Coast League foe Estancia High School and picked up crucial victories Wednesday evening.

The Tartans gritted out a league win, downing Estancia 52-45 at home Wednesday. St. Margaret's was led by Drew Bowman's 15 points with Cameron Danz following close behind with 13. Mark Cyr contributed 10 points and six rebounds while Russell Frye had a great all-around game with six points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in the win.
 
The Tartans (13-4, 5-0 in league) will take on Orange High School on the road on Friday, Jan. 6.
 
Boys Soccer
 
St. Margaret's pulled out a 1-0 win over visiting Estancia Wednesday evening with Caswell Friedman slotting home a goal in the 26th minute, assisted by Keyon Namdar. The Tartans held on for the win behind the clean sheet and six saves from Mason Allison.
 
The Tartans will take their 8-3 (3-2 league) record on the road Friday, Jan. 6, facing Orange High School.
